administrative assistant at As an administrative assistant at Fox River Christian church I have learned to work alongside a team to help improve communication and accomplish various tasks including: working alongside the pastor to write notes, uploading information to the website, handling printing of posters, room reservation, and service preparation. The greatest way I have grown not only as an employee, but also as a person is through phone and face-to-face interactions with the people of the surrounding communities. Almost daily people are calling the church for help and I am the first person they speak with. Through this I am able to be the first to meet people in their struggles and provide them the help and resources they need. I have sat down with people actively in crisis and have learned a lot about the different obstacles people are facing in my community.

About
As an honors student I have worked diligently to maintain a 4.0 grade point average throughout high school, while also challenging myself in upper level courses. This has carried over into undergraduate school helping me finish a year of nursing with a 4.0gpa and have maintained an exceptional average in my new major of Religion with an emphasis in Christian Counseling. It is important to me to continually be working towards a goal whether in school, work, or everyday life in order to better myself in various areas. Challenges are something I am constantly seeking and have found joy in giving my all by battling through tough situations, problems, and tasks. This has pushed me to become the best version of myself and a exceedingly successful student.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
The end goal in all of my schooling is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Various life experiences have lead me to struggle with my own mental health. Through battling this I have developed the desire to aid others in similar positions. I have a passion for working with kids and adolescents; therefore, this will be my target age group when practicing.
- Graduate school interests
I am graduating Liberty University in December of 2023 with my BS in Religion with an emphasis in Christian Counseling. I have been accepted into Mount Mary University and will be pursing a Masters in Clinical Mental Health with an emphasis in Rehab Counseling. This will lead me to finish as a Licensed Professional Counselor in training with a Certified Rehabilitation Certificate.
- Outside the classroom
In my free time I enjoy spending as much time outside as possible through all season of the year. I enjoy paddle boarding, swimming, hiking, camping, hammocking, running and anything else that can be done outside. Additionally I have always had a passion for volleyball. Coaching as well as watching the sport bring me great joy. I am excited to say that I will be playing for Mount Mary University starting in 2024.

Volleyball Coach
After having to cease playing volleyball I decided to continue pursuing that passion in a different manner. I began coaching young girls ages 9-11, then 5th and 6th grade boys, and 14 year old girls. Coaching has helped me grow in my leadership and organizational skills through needing to plan practices every week and creating game lineups. It has also given me a place to be able to build the confidence of young athletes and show them how they can transfer skills from their sports into their everyday life.

Volunteering
-
I have been a part of creating a young adults group through Fox River Christian Church. We call the group, "The Rally Point." Through this once a month we host a night of food, games, a Biblical message, and worship. The nights are based on creating a community for young adults. We have been able to come along side multiple young adults through challenges financially, physically, and emotionally. Volunteering in this area has involved meeting monthly to plan, outreaching to the community, and working alongside other organizations to support the group. Additionally on the days of meeting I greet new people, get to know them, and help them feel involved.

I have consistently volunteered at my church in the kids ministry since 2013 during Saturday or Sunday services. Through this we care for children ages 0-4 years old as well as teach them Bible lessons and do crafts. Recently I have began serving at the check-in counter helping new families get into the system and showing them around the ministry. I have also began doing video recordings such as short adult and kids devotionals.
