About
My name is Abe Folkerts and I am a junior at Winona State University. I play football here and I study Composite Materials Engineering. I love the challenge and innovation of engineering and that is why I chose WSU for my school. I plan to graduate in the spring of 2017. After graduation I plan to get a job in the industry and go to grad school. After grad school I hope to start my own business someday.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would like to work at a company that allows me to diversify my knowledge of engineering. I would like to work my way up to a position of senior engineer so I can lead people and the company I am at towards a great future.
- Graduate school interests
I plan on going to grad school for structural or mechanical engineering. I would like to go to grad school after I have worked in the industry for a couple years.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy hanging out with my friends, fishing, hunting, and playing sports. I also enjoy watching movies and riding 4 wheelers and dirt bikes.
