Absedy Sanchez

My life goal is to overcome the challenges I've gone through and prove to myself that all of it has served a greater purpose. I firmly believe that God places His strongest warriors in the toughest battles, and I aim to demonstrate this through my journey. I am passionate about volleyball, having been the libero for my high school team for two years, and I currently serve as the captain. Alongside volleyball, I compete in track, specializing in discus and shot put. Reading is another love of mine, with Monday's Not Coming by Tiffany Jackson being my favorite book. Over time, I’ve developed a strong and meaningful relationship with God, greatly influencing my life. I am actively involved in student leadership, serving on the student council and being a proud member of the National Honor Society. I am in the National Society of High School Scholars In addition to my high school activities, I am enrolled in Early College and plan to graduate with my associate’s degree. I've struggled with depression and anxiety all my life and I've fought by myself for a long time to get out of the state I was in. I was in a bad state of depression and made a couple of bad calls if I'm being honest but I've sought the lord and I've given my life, my soul and my mind to our heavenly father. he saved me in a way i could never explain. As a junior, I have accumulated 27 credits and am excited for the challenges ahead.
