About (Summary)
My name is Adhyan Prasad and I am currently a senior at Whitefish Bay High School in Whitefish Bay, WI. Throughout high school, I have always loved taking classes in the STEM field, and I found a love for engineering at the micro level. My love for this field was further compounded through my involvement in SMART Team in grades 10-12. The team works with the Center for BioMolecular Modeling at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Through the program, the team is paired with a university mentor and follows their research to culminate in a poster presentation session at the end of the year. We also experienced the process of 3d modeling proteins, giving me such enthusiasm that I want that experience to be a centerpiece of my undergraduate education. Both my father and mother work at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, so I have been surrounded by labs and exposed to the scientific process my entire life, allowing me to easily move on to study this field. Outside of academics, I volunteer a lot in my community through Scouts BSA, summer day camps, and staffing National Youth Leadership Training. Similarly, I swim for my high school's varsity swim team, which I have been involved with for all four years.

Intended Job Path
I plan to cater my studies towards a path to working in designing new and innovative drugs for the pharmaceutical industry. As I am still a student in high school, I hold this current career goal with a grain of salt; I plan to explore my options at whatever university I choose to attend next fall.
Job Experience
Hobbies
I love to read books, no matter the subject content. I can guarantee that you can find me every single night before sleeping flipping through the latest bestseller. I also love to swim (competitively) and bike (just for fun!). Physical activity is something that has to be in my everyday life, and these two sports really help me concentrate. Lastly, I nurse a childhood love for legos, and have built up a pretty large collection over the years.
