About

I am a dedicated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student at Nightingale College, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while striving for academic excellence and Cum Laude honors. My passion for healthcare and commitment to lifelong learning have driven me to pursue a career in critical care nursing, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).

In addition to my nursing studies, I am a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), which has provided me with valuable knowledge of medications, patient safety, and healthcare systems. My diverse background includes over 20 years of customer service experience, reinforcing my ability to communicate effectively, work in fast-paced environments, and provide compassionate care to those in need.

Beyond academics, my faith and dedication to service shape my journey. I actively seek opportunities to support and uplift others, whether through my professional aspirations, community involvement, or volunteer work. I am currently working on publishing faith-based resources, including a 3-Day Fasting and Devotional Workbook and an in-depth Bible study on Revelation, to help others grow spiritually and prepare for Jesus’ return.

My perseverance, adaptability, and passion for excellence make me a strong candidate for scholarship opportunities. I am eager to continue my academic journey and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare field while honoring my faith and commitment to serving others.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nurse Anesthesia. Upon graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Nightingale College, I plan to work as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for 1-2 years. Gaining hands-on experience in a critical care setting will allow me to develop the advanced clinical skills, decision-making abilities, and critical thinking required for nurse anesthesia.

During this time, I will also complete at least 30 hours of shadowing a CRNA to gain further insight into the profession and strengthen my application for CRNA school. I will continue building my expertise in patient care, pharmacology, and advanced nursing practices to ensure I am well-prepared for the rigorous curriculum of a nurse anesthesia program.

My ultimate goal is to be accepted into the University of California, Davis Nurse Anesthesia program, where I will earn my DNP in Nurse Anesthesia. This advanced degree will equip me with the knowledge and competencies necessary to provide safe and effective anesthesia care in various surgical and procedural settings.

Through this journey, I am committed to continuous learning, professional growth, and making a meaningful impact in the healthcare field. Becoming a CRNA aligns with my passion for critical care, patient advocacy, and delivering high-quality, compassionate anesthesia care.

Graduate school interests

I am highly interested in pursuing graduate studies in Nurse Anesthesia, with the goal of earning a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nurse Anesthesia. My top choice for graduate school is the University of California, Davis Nurse Anesthesia program, as it aligns with my commitment to academic excellence, advanced clinical training, and patient-centered care.

My interest in this field stems from my passion for critical care, pharmacology, and providing safe and effective anesthesia management. I am drawn to the rigorous curriculum and hands-on clinical experience that a Nurse Anesthesia program offers, as it will prepare me to deliver high-quality anesthesia care in diverse healthcare settings.

I am particularly interested in the integration of evidence-based practice, leadership development, and innovative anesthesia techniques within a DNP program. Additionally, I value opportunities for research and professional growth that will enable me to contribute to the advancement of anesthesia care and improve patient outcomes.

Through my graduate studies, I aim to refine my clinical expertise, enhance my leadership skills, and ultimately become a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) dedicated to providing compassionate and competent anesthesia care.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies reflect my commitment to personal growth, wellness, and community engagement. I enjoy fitness activities such as yoga and weightlifting, which help me maintain physical and mental resilience for my demanding academic and career goals. Writing and journaling are also passions of mine, as they provide a creative outlet and an opportunity for self-reflection.

In addition, I am deeply committed to my faith and enjoy creating faith-based resources, including devotionals and Bible studies, to support others on their spiritual journeys. Volunteering is another important aspect of my life.
