About

I am a former student athlete from Davenport University. After obtaining my Associates Degree in Medical Assisting, I transferred to Oakland University to pursue a degree in nursing.

I am currently working as a Certified Nurse Assistant at Beaumont Health-Royal Oak. I work primarily on a 114 bed orthopedic unit. However, during the recent pandemic, my unit was converted to care exclusively for COVID-19 positive patients. It is a challenging, thrilling, and rewarding experience working in such unknown circumstances.

Outside the classroom

I’ve been playing ice hockey for about 20 years. I started on a boy’s house team at the age of 7. Continued onto a Tier 1 girl’s league which ultimately lead to a college D1 ACHA women’s team . Today, I play in a competitive women’s league. I also enjoy running. I’ve participated in multiple races and plan to complete my first full marathon in October. I’m passionate about health and wellness and always searching for new recipes or exercises to experiment with.
