Agnes Owino

I am a graduate of the Kenya Medical Training College, where I earned a Diploma in Community Health Nursing. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Ohio University and am proud to have achieved a GPA of 3.8 during my first trimester. My journey into nursing was driven by a deep desire to help others, especially during moments when they feel most vulnerable and in need of compassion. Nursing allows me to connect with people on a human level and to offer comfort, understanding, and hope during difficult times.

Looking ahead, I aspire to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner so I can further support individuals facing mental health challenges and advocate for holistic, patient-centered care. I chose this profession because I believe that even the smallest act of care can create meaningful change. Knowing that my efforts may positively impact even one life makes every challenge and sacrifice worthwhile.
