About
I was born in a small town called Portage in Pennsylvania and have lived my whole life moving from one equally small PA town to the next. I became interested in reading at an early age and began collecting books when I was twelve; reading and literature were a huge part of my childhood and remain a deeply loved interest for me today. Currently, I am enrolled in CalU of PA as a literature major with a work study at the campus library; I intend to pursue a career in library science with a concentration in archiving and manuscript repair. I do not have a fully planned career goal set at any institution as I would honestly be content working in my chosen field in any capacity; what I am fully certain of is my intended internship. I would be honored to be able to attend the library science training programs available at the reconstructed Library of Alexandria, called the Bibliotheca Alexandrino, and to secure an internship there. Working with the archives and learning to restore ancient or damaged manuscripts in order to preserve them for future generations is my main interest. I am interested in remaining there for my career, but being able to travel to other prominent and local libraries to offer the same service would also be more than acceptable.
