Aileen Brooks

I am a graduate student of the The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division and an Interior Designer. I have gained substantial knowledge and education in the field of Interior Design. I also have an Diploma in Residential Planning from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Division. I have a strong interest in the practice of Sustainable, Universal, and Aging in Place design and wish to utilize the knowledge I have acquired in these specializations.

I wish to work as a Design Assistant to a professional Interior Designer or as an Interior Designer for an Interior Design firm.

My goal is to become a Certified Interior Designer (CID) and specialist in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) projects as well as Universal Design applications.

Specialties: I excel in the utilization of AutoCAD software for the creation of various types of construction documents, hand drafting of plans and elevations, sketching and rendering of elevations and perspective drawings, specification of products, color theory, textiles, history of furniture and architecture, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 2007-2013 applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, proficient in the use of Adobe applications; Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat. I also have experience with creating three dimensional layouts in Sketchup and Autodesk Revit.
