About

As a prospective social worker, I am thrilled at the prospect of exploring the diverse range of opportunities available in this broad field. One particular area of interest to me is research, particularly in the realm of mental health issues. I am eager to delve into the complexities of why people struggle with mental health, and would like to focus on a specific area such as suicide. This topic holds a personal resonance for me, as my son's father took his own life. I strive to be a positive role model for my son, demonstrating that it is possible to overcome adversity and rise above challenging circumstances.

Goals and interests

Career goal

In addition to my research aspirations, I also have a strong desire to establish my own practice, catering to individuals who are battling everyday mental health struggles. Growing up, my siblings and I did not have everything we wanted, but we were fortunate to have been raised in a nurturing and safe environment by my parents. I aim to create a similar environment in my practice, where individuals can feel supported and empowered to make positive changes in their lives. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to grow and flourish, and I hope to provide this opportunity to those who come through my doors.
