About

Although I am a nineteen year old graduate from high school, I am a very intelligent female. Instead of partying, smoking, and drinking like most teenagers, you will find me in the house with my nose in a book, or researching different scholarship offers, or remaining to be the supershy/quiet girl that I am. Although I have made mistakes in my life that I regret, I tend to put that all behind me and strive for what I love. I've always dreamed of having a big occupation, such as a doctor or lawyer, crime scene investigator... or even doing what I love, which is writing. I absolutely love to write, because it allows me to express myself in ways that I can't, since I am very reserved.

Education

  • University of Kentucky

Still deciding... There are so many amazing fields I would like to choose!

    2016 – 2020

  • Louisville Male Traditional High School

    General Studies

    2012 – 2016

Honors and awards

  • Federal Pell Grant for KSU

Due to the information listed on my FAFSA, KSU decided to offer me the Pell Grant, which I believe is amazing!!! I was beyond ECSTATIC upon receiving the email! THANK YOU KSU! :) Maybe I will go there after all instead of University of Kentucky...

  • William C. Parker Scholarship

University of Kentucky offered me $2,500.00 under the William C. Parker Scholarship. I was extremely grateful to receive this scholarship, especially adding to the fact that it focuses more on minority students.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I have many career choices in mind - some revolve around getting into medicine, due to my keen interest of the television show, Grey's Anatomy. Some revolve around getting into becoming an eye doctor... and majoring in optometry, due to the fascination I have upon visiting the eye doctor. I really like watching the show, Criminal Minds, which is what I believe sparked my interest in criminology. Ever since I was a little girl, I absolutely loved reading. Reading is what inspired me to write these fiction/made-up stories that would just flare up in the back of my mind! Due to my interest in reading and writing, I would have no problem with becoming a journalist in the future as well.

Graduate school interests

Good question... that requires a lot of thought, lol.

Outside the classroom

As mentioned before, I absolutely love to read and write! I do not engage in any partying or smoking or drinking like most teens. You will also find most teens attached to social media websites such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Twitter but me? I tend to stay away from all of those things. I do not want them to distract me from the real world. I do not really have any friends, so while most teenage girls are out at the mall with their friends, you will find me in the house watching a good movie or TV show on Netflix or Hulu. I'm always working! Instead of being with people who I know aren't really my friends, I'm either at one of my two jobs. I work one during the day, and one at night as a way to keep me occupied. I like wearing makeup and doing girly things such as getting my nails done. Some might describe me as "boring," or "antisocial," but I try to not let the negative words of others bring me down. :)
