About

I am a Latin American and Latino Studies major with a strong commitment to education and social justice. My academic work centers on the histories, cultures, and knowledge systems of Latin America and their connections to contemporary struggles for equity and representation. As a transfer student, first generation college student, and single mother, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA over the past three years and earned Dean’s Honors for three consecutive quarters. My goal is to become a K-12 teacher in California, where I hope to create classrooms that honor students’ cultural heritage, celebrate ancestral knowledge, and empower youth to see themselves as agents of change.
