I recently completed my junior year at UNC-Wilmington. My major is Elementary Education. I attended community college in Charlotte, NC, for two years and obtained my Associate's Degree. I love working with children and intend to teach lower grades in elementary school upon graduation.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I hope to start out teaching the youngest grades, such as kindergarten or first grade. I have worked with young children for the past three years as an after-school counselor at the YMCA. I enjoy interacting with and guiding younger kids. I started my YMCA job to make sure I would enjoy being a teacher, and it has cemented my belief that teaching is the correct career path for me
- Graduate school interests
At this time, I do not intend to pursue graduate school because of the time and costs. I may decided after teaching for a while that I have the money to pursue a graduate degree.
