Alexander Elder Chavez

My goal is to design and test military grade simulation equipment and power generation equipment. After receiving my high school diploma from Antietam Middle/Senior High School I gained employment at a small privately owned company named Fidelity Technologies corporation. At Fidelity we build a wide variety of military equipment ranging from generators to anemometers for tanks. I started my career as a level one assembler, but I quickly advanced through the manufacturing floor. After being acknowledged for my strong work ethic and a resilience to learn new jobs and tasks as well as technical understanding, I was promoted to the test department. I realized I had a passion for trouble shooting and working with new equipment that our research and devolvement team came up with. My second realization was I needed a proper education if I ever really want to advance in the fields that interested me. That is when I decided to begin my academic career, and pursue engineering. I hope to complete school at PSU, so I can pursue an engineering career. I attend PSU berks part time so it will take me a little longer, but I am doing so with flying colors. I currently have a 3.9 GPA. I work full time and have a growing family, so I do not really have the time to go to school as a full time student. Even though I have obstacles like family and work, I am extremely ambitious and goal oriented. I will do what needs to be done for my future and my family.
