Alexander Moore

I am currently a senior at Oakmont High School in Roseville CA, and, within it, I am a member of the Oakmont Health Careers Academy, which is locally known as the health academy. The Health Academy is a health career prepatory program with emphasis on community and volunteer work, of which I plan and actively participate in. Besides the Health Academy, I am a varsity member of the water polo team as well as a member of Health Occupation Students of America(HOSA)the school's key club and the intramural sports club. In all of my extracurricular roles I take leadership and help those around me. In water polo I helped bridge the gap between classes and playing levels through including my whole team in activities, and in my club activities I always organize activities and assist others as much as I can. When I am not in school, in the pool, interning at a hospital or volunteering in my community I am busy playing music, cooking, or finding something new to try and learn. All of my hobbies and academic pursuits are the culmination of my own efforts and the efforts and positive influences of countless advisors, mentors and peers that have shaped me into the responsible, enthusiastic, creative go-getter I am today. I take pride in a busy schedule and having so many opportunities that I have worked so hard to realize.
