Alexandra Brown

My name is Alexandra, I am 26 years old, and I live in Huntington Beach California. What I enjoy the most about school is learning new things, I have a hunger for knowledge and because of this, I have had a heck of a time trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I have just completed my AA in psychology and have decided that I want to be an Elementary school teacher. Ideally I would like to teach kindergarten or 1st grade.
In my spare time I like to watch movies and read books. I prefer romance novels and I will watch just about any movie that is not related to the horror genre. I have only ever lived in Huntington Beach, but I did spend a summer in Europe with my younger brother. We went to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, France and the French Riviera. I came back from the trip with over 6000 pictures, a collection of magnets, a few t-shirts, and gifts for my family.
I decided to attend Grand Canyon University because the University has one of the best online programs for earning a teaching degree. When schools go to hire a new teacher a degree from Grand Canyon stands out because of the excellent training one receives through their program. I am obtaining this degree because I want to instill in young minds a desire for knowledge.
As I said before I love learning new things, especially if I can use them in my day to day life and grow from them. I think if you focus on personal growth, results do follow because when you are motivated to understand something you are more likely to retain the information or get the best results possible
