Alexcia Guthrie

I am currently a high school senior who attends Richard R Green High School Of Teaching. When I graduate from high school I plan on becoming a Physical Therapist. I was born and raised in New York, and I live in a single parent home which is with my father and my twin brother. Although growing up in the Bronx wasn’t easy, my father always made a way to provide and ensure that me and my brother had a good childhood and a better education than he had when he was younger. I always loved playing basketball but because of my medical history I was told by my doctors and father to be careful while playing and that it wasn’t the best idea for me to be playing. Therefore I ended up quitting the basketball team and didn’t take basketball as serious as before. I am interested in becoming a Physical Therapist because I love to help others, especially if it’s benefiting them to gain their independence. I always wanted to be in the medical field, and I have always been interested in Science. I am interested in becoming a Physical Therapist in the future since I love motivating people and I know it can help in providing assistance for others.
