About
Hello, I am pursuing my dream to be a first generation college graduate! I spent most my teen years in foster care and emancipated out of the system when I turned 18. However, I refused to let these things stop me from being the best version I can be. I want to get an education to prove to myself that what I have been through does not define me and that I am capable of making a good life for myself. Something I learned in foster care was that you can’t let hardships in life hold you back because if you do you will never go anywhere.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to get my doctorate in psychology, and pursue my dream of having a private practice; specializing in foster youth. This was a hole I saw in the system personally, counselors trained to handle the unique specifics associated with foster youth were little to none. Because of this many kids would suffer because they need proper therapy and guidance through this part of their lives. This I hold close and it would make the would of a difference to be able to provide this care to a kid like I was.
- Outside the classroom
I love spending time with my dog Bella! She just learned how to shake your hand. Also, I like painting and writing.
