About
I am Alexis Smith and I'm from a small town in Illinois called Carthage. I used to compete in three sports in high school, and I still like to keep myself active and lift weights to keep myself healthier and feel better. I enjoy the outdoors and live in the country. I have participated in volunteer work with my local Kiwanis club that my mother has been a part of for years, and I also work part-time as a nurse aide at our local hospital. I also work part-time at a clothing store in Carthage. I commute to school at WIU and as of right now, I still plan to do the same when I start the nursing program in the fall. I am excited to start my nursing internship in the OR at Memorial Hospital in Carthage this summer, and I am grateful for that opportunity!
