About
My name is Aliah GuzmanCeja, I am a first generation, Mexican American college student. I am currently pursuing a bachelors of psychology at California State University, Fullerton. I am set to graduate spring 2023, and I’m so excited to see what the future entails. I would describe myself in three words as resilient, ambitious and eager. I love school- that almost feels like an understatement. Education has allowed me to become an individual that I have always aspire to be – a person who can articulate their emotions and think logically. Education has been and will always be a vessel in my journey of holistic growth.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
From a young age, I have always known that I wanted to help people. The medical field has always intrigued me because I am so adamant for the health and well-being of others. I enjoy working with individuals, specifically children. My life mission is to ensure that people feel heard, especially children! As a future Marriage Family Therapist, I will strive to ensure my clients know they are heard and worthy of feeling fulfilled with their life journey.
- Graduate school interests
Graduate school is something that is definitely in my future. Though it may be expensive I believe that it is an investment in myself and my future, which is some thing I prioritize. As of right now I am taking a gap year after I graduate in the spring of May at 2023, but will be back. During my gap year I will be working at a small family business, by side their HR Representative to have more insight of the industrial side of psychology.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy reading books, especially those written by Colleen Hoover. Though they are love stories, and often times quite sappy, I find that her novels are a great way to take a break from reality. I also find myself journaling a lot, which helps me process my emotions, and set long-term and short-term goals for myself. Both of which were a result of the 2020 pandemic, considering that the majority of my college experience to place online-books in journaling became my best friends.
