  • Spotlight Operator This event took around 6.5 hours of time. I had no experience of being on the tech team, nor have I ever operated one of the spotlights for an important event. I was taught how to use the spotlight before the show started, and for each performance I held the light and steadily moved it. I was also used to provide inspiration for light backgrounds for the show. I was so happy to be given this opportunity because I think it is vital that I explore all parts of the theater program, and get to experience everything that is theater.

  • Boys Basket Ball Manager Being the Boy’s basketball manager included Intently watching, writing down points, rebounds, and communicating with the Basketball coaches. This took hours and hours of my time and I would most games, be out till midnight during away games. It helped me to understand a different environment as well as help with my communication and time management skills.

  • Middle School Theatre Production Volunteer This event was to bring a theatre production to our local middle school as they did not have a theatre program. I helped to Usher families for the event, as well as get to know students and warm up with them. I helped clean up after everything had been finished and I helped students get ready for the show. I also made sure that costumes were ready to be worn.

  • Actor - Time Traveler This was a two day event where all 3rd grade elementary schools, in our city, came to our local historical museum, and were taught how the settlers came to be in our town. I had auditioned to be the lead speaker, Lydia, who gave a speech to each class that came in. I was then given this role. I also helped show children how certain chores were done. This took around 6 hours each day.
