Alisdair Feezle

“Always take an opportunity when you have the chance. You will never know where life might take you.” A multitude of successful people has used or phrased these words. I live by this statement and so far it has taken me further in my career than I expected. Hello, my name is Alisdair M Feezle. I am a songwriter, musician, and audio engineer. I was born in Fairfax County, Virginia. I now currently live in Slanesville, West Virginia. I’ve always been a curious individual and fascinated with my field of work. Since I was eight years old I always wanted to be part of the music industry.Some people might claim that I was obsessed with the Industry. At the age of fourteen, I picked up my first instrument. I practiced and practiced for hour upon hours a day. Then, I joined my high school jazz band. I played guitar and bass in the jazz band. Eventually, I join a progressive, jazz, metal band. We traveled everywhere during high school and I had the time of my life playing around the U.S.
When I graduated high I started my journey into Music Production at Full Sail University. I was excited and nervous. I believe that’s how most people felt when they started college. But, It was one of the greatest decisions of my life. Full Sail University has taught me so much about the industry. I am so grateful for the wonderful instructor’s and staff they have at Full Sail University. Anyway, I am still attending Full Sail University and still learning more and more each day. Now, I work at a venue called, “The Bright Box.” The venue is located in Winchester, Virginia. The Bright Box is also in the top 50 small venues in the United States. My title at The Bright Box is front of house engineer assistant. I have learned a lot working under David Angell, the front of house engineer. Just recently I have been promoted to the front of house engineer for The Bright Box upper floor events called, “Out Of The Box.”
So, far I have done five shows on my own and I look forward to doing much more. On my spare time, I score music for video games and film. I also mix and record small local bands or groups in my area. Right now, I am working will a band called, Ellipsoid. We will be releasing a full-length album pretty soon. So, keep your eyes and ears open for that. The only reason I have gained so much experience and learned so much in my industry is because I took the time and meet up with the right people and they gave me a chance. Just remember to always give an opportunity a chance and you will never fail. I still have much more to learn. I’m searching for the next opportunity.
