About

I'm majoring in Musical Theater. Everyone has their reasons as to why they choose the major of their choice. Most would say to make lots of money or to have success. But for me, through my gifts and talents I want to give happiness, hope and importance to others. Those are my main goals of being a musical theater major. With those feelings and expressions you can really change a person's perspective or life through the messages embedded in each show, like it did for me when I was eight years old and saw my very first production. Since that moment my passion and drive for what I love began. I have been taking piano, dance and voice training since then up to my senior year now. I have performed in numerous shows delivering a meaningful message that has enhanced me. That's the best part, the meaning of the message. Being able to take a part a show and figuring out, why this was written, what is the writer trying to communicate and applying it to myself to perform for others, what the writers couldn't say themselves. That's what will contribute to my success as a musical theater major. That's why I choose this major because I think everyone deserves to feel loved, have happiness and feel important and that is what is significant to me. I can do that by pursuing my dream, and conveying a message that I hope will affect every single person in the audience.
