About

The last four years of high school have been a valuable learning experience both in the classroom and on the field of competition. I have been dedicated to my studies and improving not only my golf game but myself as a leader among my peers. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while serving as President, Vice-President, and Treasurer of HOSA, President of National Honor Society my Senior year, Student Council Class Representative all four years, member of Workforce In Training (W.I.T) and being lead scorer on our Varsity Golf team. I have also enjoyed helping serve our community with several organizations such as United Way, Lions Club and my church Timber Ridge Church. In 2019 I was selected as the Lions Club Queen which gave me the opportunity to serve at the Lions Club summer camp for disabled children.
I have always known I wanted serve others in my future career and that is what led me to pursue medicine. I hope to one day be able to help others with Neurological disorders. The brain is such a fascinating organ and there is so much left to discover about the way it operates. I currently attend Berry College in Mt. Berry, Georgia where I am majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Spanish while playing golf for the Berry Women's golf team. After completing my undergraduate I plan to complete my Masters degree and then on to Medical school possibly at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
I attribute my success to wonderful parents and my faith in the Lord. My mother was a single mother for 14 years after my biological father left us when I was 4 months old. She raised me with honesty, integrity and an incredible work ethic that I learned from watching her. She sometimes worked two jobs to be able to give me an amazing life and to make sure I never missed out on an opportunity to improve myself. She married my bonus Dad five years ago and together they have blessed me with security, strength, and encouragement. I hope to honor them by becoming the best I can be in my chosen field and always living with kindness, honesty and integrity.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I hope to attend medical school and pursue a career in Neurobiology. I am not sure of the exact area of specialty i.e. surgery, research or clinical, but I do know that studying the brain , its functions and the disorders that affect it are my current interest.

Graduate school interests

I will pursue a graduate degree after completing my undergraduate in a science field that will benefit me in future Medical school endeavors. I hope to further my education at North Carolina University, Chapel Hill.

Outside the classroom

My first love is golf. Even though I do play competitively it is my favorite hobby as well. Others include traveling with my family, outdoor activities, reading and watching movies. I enjoy trying new foods and cooking as well.
