About

Early in my education, I found myself captivated by the notion of small actions making large impacts in society. I originally discovered this through volunteering at food distribution centers for the homeless and developing nations. However, as my extracurricular activities expanded to research experiences, job positions, and student organizations, I found this notion could serve as the foundation for many of my future passions. My research projects focus on often-overlooked individuals such as disabled and Deaf populations, while my job positions and student organization leadership roles aim to provide students with the knowledge, resources, and support to promote success. These roles reinforced my desire to pursue a career in which I would continue to make actions that largely impact society. Accordingly, I will pursue a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering followed by postdoctoral research and a professorship position at a university. Through my career, I will continue my involvement in scientific outreach for equity in vulnerable populations while providing mentorship to future innovators.
