Allison Beckner

Hello my name is Allison Beckner. I am currently a self-contained, 2nd grade teacher at Canyon ISD. I am an aspiring administrator wrapping up my first year in the West Texas A&M Educational Leadership Graduate program. Advanced ISD’s Extended School Day program is where I began my educational journey while working towards my bachelor’s degree. I graduated from West Texas A&M in August 2016 and began teaching in Dalhart, Texas the following week. Over the last seven years, I have taught in four different districts. I have taught third and fourth grade English Language Arts for the majority of my teaching career. Every district that I have taught at has helped me build and add valuable tools to my educational experiences. Through these experiences, I have been given the opportunity to lead Professional Learning Communities and professional development to staff I have worked with.
