Hello, my name is Allison Spoerl and I am currently a freshman at the University of Toledo studying speech language pathology. I am very passionate about what I am majoring in. I want to be very successful in my life and I am very motivated to full-fill that. I live in Avon Lake Ohio. I have 2 parent who are both physical therapist and are very hard working. I have an older sister who is 20 and is diagnosed with autism since she was 2. Also, I have a younger brother who is 16. We are a very loving family. One reason I am so passionate about my major is because of my sister. I have been so motivated to work with autistic children and to help these kinds of humans be very successful. I have a huge heart that I want to share with others. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for me.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am currently a freshman studying Speech Language Pathology at the under grad level. I am really interested in working at a hospital or an out patient satellite when I graduate. Also, I am very passionate about working with individuals with speech and communication difficulties. I want to help others be able to express themselves because everyone should have the ability to speak.
- Graduate school interests
I am planning on applying to a Grad School after I complete my bachelors degree. My goal is to get my masters degree in Speech Language Pathology at a school after my 4 years of undergrad.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. During my free time I like to read books. Also, I have a sister who has autism so I enjoy spending some quality time with her when I am home from college. I love to go to the gym and workout.
