Allison Williams

I am a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, majoring in Diversified Agriculture with a focus on Livestock Production and Marketing.

Although I did not grow up on a farm, I found my interest in agriculture during high school by participating in Future Farmers of America. During my junior year, I raised a rabbit with which I received a blue ribbon at Polk County Youth Fair. The following year, I showed my Yorkshire cross hog at Polk County Youth Fair where I won first in my class. Also during my senior year, I participated in livestock judging and horse judging contests. At my first livestock judging contest, I placed third individually.

Since attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, I have been gaining experience through clubs, such as ABAC Cattlemen's Association, Agronomy Club, and ABAC Collegiate FFA. I was part of the hog show committee through FFA, where we planned and organized a local hog show for the community. Additionally, I have gained knowledge of the industry through my classes. I have taken Intro to Animal Science, Power Equipment, and Power Equipment II.
