Graduate student at Johns Hopkins University studying Geographic Information Systems (GIS). NAUI scuba and first aid instructor at Bamboo Reef Dive Centers. Graduated magna cum laude in 2018 from CSU Monterey Bay, with a B.S. in marine science with a minor in business. Hoping to share my love of the ocean and with the public by translating the science into written and/or visual media.

Monterey County Resource Management Agency - Parks Dept. Updated Monterey County Parks maps and utility maps with ArcGIS and assisting in the drafting of the Monterey County Parks Management Plans. Collected data in the field using handheld a GPS device to map trails and points of interest. Translated old hand drawn maps of park utilities into properly scaled online maps using ArcGIS. Worked with a diverse group of stakeholders to improve the operations of Monterey County Parks according to the Strategic Plan. Assisted in the drafting of grant applications.

NOAA Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary Created the marketing plan for tourism and recreation in the sanctuary. Suggested edits the sanctuary’s website and social media accounts. Assisted staff with social media content for the sanctuary. Helped develop a survey to establish the public’s Sanctuary knowledge. Worked with other staff members to collect pictures and videos to use in marketing. Worked the sanctuary’s booth at the San Francisco Zoo for Ocean’s Day, in which I taught children and adults about the organisms and their ecology within the sanctuary.
