About

I am a seventeen year old student at Boiling Springs High School in the Upstate of South Carolina. I enjoy attending school where I learn and grow daily with my friends and classmates. I have grown up vacationing and spending as many of my summers as I can at Lake Greenwood. As soon as I turned sixteen, I got a job at a locally owned business, The Lake Bowen Fish Camp, where I am a waitress. It has taught me the importance of managing my time and money. I spend tons of my free time at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church with other life group leaders. I have been working with my pastor to become more and more of a leader for the youth ministry and others in my community. I enjoy spending time with my friends in after school clubs and high school sporting events. We also spend time around our community at local state parks watching the sunrise in the Blue Ridge Mountains, swimming at Lake Bowen, and putting our hammocks up in the great outdoors. My little brother is who motivates me, I strive to be an example for him in everything I do. The experience of the global pandemic has helped me realize the value of my family, friends, and being able to see my teachers and classmates daily. My goal is to graduate from high school and attend college, which will educate me and hopefully provide numerous opportunities for my career in interior design.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am currently a student in the class of 2020 at Boiling Springs High School. I plan on going to college to major in Interior Design and minor in Business. My goal fresh out of college is to work in the field of interior design to gain knowledge about the process and eventually branch off and start my own business.

Outside the classroom

I have grown up having ample opportunities to be involved and express myself in my local community and schools. I grew up in theatre at the Chapman Cultural Center and as soon as I was able to get involved in my high school drama department, I did. I have been active in the Boiling Springs Drama Department for two years currently. I have a voice coach at Converse College that I see weekly to help broaden my vocal range for musical theatre. I also grew up painting and making as much art as I possibly could in my school art clubs and even just in my free time. I have a very outgoing personality and enjoy spending most of my spare time with my friends. I spend a lot of time at church and doing my daily devotions that I share with the community through my social media accounts. I strive everyday to help make my world beautiful by using art and kindness to bring joy daily to those around me.
