About
Hello, I’m Alyssa! In July 2024, I graduated from California Virtual Academies as a High School Junior. I attended Mt. San Antonio’s summer program, completed my Senior classes, and successfully graduated a year early. During the past few months, while I temporarily put pursuing higher education aside, I have focused on helping my family with managing our farm. I have also been building my skills and knowledge in herbal studies. My biggest interests are veterinary sciences, agriculture, and most of all, herbalism.
Growing up rurally, I’ve cared for livestock and animals, grown crops and managed greenhouses, participated in beekeeping, fishing, and archery, my entire childhood. I also showed cattle and swine in 4-H, and often nursed injured or ill animals back to health using herbal remedies. My experiences have very much shaped my determination and love for herbal medicine and animals. My dream is to one day have my own herbal business and plant nursery, selling herbs and spices, seeds and plants, botanical soaps and creams, as well as manage my own beehives and produce honey. I’d love to use my skills as an herbalist to support people and their health, as well as teach others how to live healthier.
For the next few months, I plan on getting my drivers license, attending an affordable community college or program specializing in herbal studies, plant science, or agriculture.
