Alyssa Zinola

Event Planning peaked my interest when I started working at the Marriott Hotel. Even though I was a front desk employee, I was able to get a feel for the daily tasks and activities of an event planner. I enjoy juggling multiple tasks at one time and constantly communicating with my internal and external customers. I became interested in Human Resources my freshman year of college when a friend of mine joined the Human Resources Association. I too joined the association looking more into the field and instantly became facinated with the field. Working in a collaborative environment is extremely important to me, and having a career that betters my community is something that I want to be a part of. My experience in customer service is something that I am very proud of, from previous jobs to volunteer work. Clubs and classes I am currently enrolled in are setting me up for success. I am looking forward to studying abroad during my fall semester; I will be overseas in Florence, Italy for nearly four months. I could not be more excited about this opportunity and what it has to offer. I hope to find an internship this summer that allows me to gain experience in both Event Planning and Human Resources so I can gain additional experience for my future career.
