About

"Finding your passion will lead you to finding work that motivates you and satisfies you" is a quote that resinates close with me. I've truly never been more passionate about something than I am about applied behaviour analysis and making a difference in the lives of children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Currently, I am studying my Masters of Professional Education at Western University with a focus in Applied Behaviour Analysis. The program focuses on scientific methods of developing treatment plans and programs to help enhance and improve the lives of those with developmental disabilities. Applied Behaviour Analysis is a science based, evidence based practice that has truly changed the way I look at life. I completed my Bachelors of Arts in Child and Youth Studies at Brock University where I focused in developmental and learning disabilities. That is when I learned about Applied Behaviour Analysis, which led me to take a Graduate Certificate program at George Brown College in Autism and Behavioural Sciences. This program motivated me to pursue my Masters and work hard to learn all I can about the diverse field of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Once I graduated that program, I got immediate employment as an Instructor Therapist at a ABA clinic for children with autism. I am still working at the clinic, but however have been promoted since then and am now a Supervisor Therapist. I am now a full-time Supervisor Therapist while completing my Masters full time online. I truly am so thankful I am in the position where I get to do school online and also continue to gain experience in the field of behaviour analysis while working. I would not be where I am today if it weren't for my hard work and academic achievements throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies. I'm so thankful to be where I am today.
