About
Amanda List is a seasoned OSBA Certified Paralegal with over ten years experience in litigation support roles, adept in legal research, case management, and trial preparation coupled with over eight years experience in early childhood education. Amanda's experience as a private nanny, preschool teacher, substitute teacher, and center administrator prepared her with the knowledge and ability to conduct analysis of an individual's educational, social, and psychological development and conduct extensive document review. Amanda excelled as a Paralegal in Major Trials at the Office of the Lorain County Prosecutor, ensuring meticulous document handling and supporting high-stakes criminal litigation, including several death penalty cases. Amanda seeks to leverage her extensive legal knowledge, document coordination, and project management proficiency to be an indispensable member of your defense team throughout all capital proceedings. Amanda possesses clinical and information-gathering skills and training that most lawyers simply do not have. She has the time and the ability to elicit sensitive, embarrassing, and sometimes humiliating evidence that your client or his/her family may have never disclosed. She has the clinical skills to recognize such things as congenital, mental, or neurological conditions, to understand how these conditions may have affected your client's development and behavior, and to identify the most appropriate experts to examine your client, or testify on his/her behalf. (Commentary on Guideline 4.1, page 959).
Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Early Childhood Education from Union Institute & University and a Master’s Degree focused in Paralegal Studies from The George Washington University. She has maintained her status as an Ohio State Bar Certified Paralegal for over ten years. Currently, Amanda is a doctoral student at the University of Memphis with a degree plan of Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Psychology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice.
