About

I am currently pursuing a bachelor's in computer science with a double minor in math and anthropology. After I had graduated from Green River College with an associate's degree, I decided to take a year off to explore different career opportunities I had at the time. In this year off, I took it upon myself to try as many things as possible, which I feel as though I succeeded in the long run. In this gap year, I ended up with three different job positions at the radio company I worked for, created my own freelance modeling business, taught robotics to high school students at Bishop Blanchet High School, as well as began my first attempt at creating a video game, which has now become my passion project. After trying my hand in all of these different activities and careers, I realized that my main passion was in video games. However, I found myself hitting roadblocks; I didn't have the knowledge I needed to create the game I dreamed of. The video game, with a working title of Felicity Hollow, focuses on diversity and representation of different minority groups, branching from different cultures around the world, to gender and sexual identities. The world the game takes place in also evolves with the players choices, making it an immersive experience for anyone that picks it up.
The last five years of my work experience has been spent in the radio industry, learning key skills such as communicating, working heavily with other people, meeting deadlines, as well as basic audio engineering and web design. My job there was split up between two different departments, with three different jobs. One of which had me doing web design, creating pages for events and contests, and using proper keywords to optimize how the pages appeared in various search engines. Another was doing audio engineering for bands that we had up to the studio, making sure all of their equipment was hooked up properly to the sound board, as well as doing basic engineering for each station as to make sure music and commercials were running on time. Finally, I was a team leader for our major events and music festivals that we put on, making sure people were staying on task when needed.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I eventually hope to go into video game development, as I work well with others due to my experience in the radio industry, and have had a passion for video games since I was a kid.

Outside the classroom

Some of my hobbies include playing ukulele and singing, drawing, cooking, writing, fashion, and playing video games. All of these skills I try to incorporate into my daily life, as well as into my school work.
