About

I attended Bakersfield College for two years, which is a community college in my hometown Bakersfield, California. I moved to Tennessee to attend the University of Memphis where I am also a student athlete. Choosing to go to the University of Memphis showed me that my dreams of being a college cheerleader while attending a university could become possible. In high school, I was a member of the Academic Student Body class where we constantly tried to involve students in school activities, propose new ideas to better the campus, and set a good example for students on a day to day basis. I was also a part of what was called "Link Crew" where juniors and seniors of the school helped incoming freshman throughout their school year by being a friend to them, inviting them out to school activities, and being there when they had any questions that they were too shy or nervous to ask anyone else.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path includes becoming a nurse and working with the children at involved in the care of the St. Jude's Hospital. Being a nurse at the St. Jude's Hospital has always been a dream of mine because children are the future of this world and knowing that if I work with and become a part of ending childhood cancer would mean that I made a mark on this world. Working with this program would mean that I could be that person who a child looks forward to talking to everyday even when they know their days are numbered. Knowing that I could make a mark on this world and in at least one child's life would make my job as a nurse feel worth while every single day.

Outside the classroom

My hobbies include working out and trying to better my body as much as I can, going to the lake with friends, traveling to new places, and spending time with my family.
