About

My name is Amber Birdow and I have been in education for 8 years. I graduated from Grambling State University in 2014 and received my Bachelor's of Education degree in Early Childhood Education. I went on to teach as a 1st grade Lead Teacher for 8 years. During that time, I taught Gifted and Talented, Special Education, and ESL students. I started the school counseling program in 2018 but paused to take care of family needs. In 2022 I restarted the program and have maintained a 3.86 GPA ever since. I have a true passion for children and have always wanted to advance my professional skills to create successful members of society. I am currently a school counselor intern at a middle school STEM academy. I aspire to become an elementary school counselor or accept a full time counselor position on my current campus upon graduating in May of 2024.
