In the end, I'd like to be part of the foreign integration team. It's important to me to see people treat each other as people equally. It pains me to know foreigners in America work like regular Americans, pay taxes like everyone else but are paid less or receive less benefits. Now, I'm aware there are laws and organizations to defend anyone treated unequally of all backgrounds, but they work as a wide-toothed comb. I'm not sure how I intend to go about this, but what I do know is this. I'm fascinated by language and the behavioral development of human beings. I've grown in a not so diverse community, so my scope is very narrow. With my degree in linguistics and a TEFL certificate, once I graduate, I can go wherever I desire. I don't want to be narrow-minded, and travel is what I believe will enlighten me. And overall, language is what I believe to be the cultural bridge to connect us all.

I study languages for fun and talk to foreign "pen pals" via Skype, email and Facebook. Sometimes I paint when I'm inspired. I watch anime for both entertainment and learning. Food is pretty great too, especially with friends or family. The real fun will begin when I can travel and learn far from home.
