About

I am a senior at the University of North Georgia in the Bachelor's of Science in Nursing program. In 2014, I earned an Associate's Degree in Applied Science. After my first year of nursing courses and caring for patients in the clinical setting, I could not picture myself in and other profession. I enjoy helping others on a daily basis either through nursing practice or volunteering throughout the community; for instance, I get such joy from helping at Challenged Child and Friends, a local preschool for challenged children, and The Good Shepherd Clinic, a free clinic where I am able to offer health services to citizens in need. My true passion in life is to help others in need while facilitating in their healing both physically and emotionally.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I will graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in May 2017; moreover, after graduation I will prepare for and take the Board of Nursing test to become a Registered Nurse. My hopes are to work in the Intensive Care Unit at North East Georgia Medical Center. After years of practice I aspire to be a Charge Nurse.

Graduate school interests

According to the University of North Georgia's rules, I must be in clinical practice for 1 year before apply to the Master's of Nursing with a degree in Family Nurse Practitioner. After receiving my Master's, I aspire to begin a practice under a respectable doctor in the community. Ultimately, my main goal in nursing is to become a nurse educator and become a professor at the University of North Georgia. The nursing faculty have instilled an incredible love of nursing in me and I cannot think of anything more rewarding than offering my nursing experience and facilitating in the learning and growth of future nurses.
