About

I am a Biology student at Grossmont and Cuyamaca College preparing to transfer to a four-year university and continue pursuing my education in the sciences. My academic journey has taught me the importance of perseverance, discipline, and being willing to challenge myself.

During the Spring 2026 semester, I completed 16 units with a 4.0 GPA and earned recognition on the President's Honors List and Vice President's Honors List. Outside of the classroom, I am involved with MESA and the Medicine Scholars Program and serve as Vice President of my college's badminton club.

I have also volunteered at UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center in the Surgical Oncology department, where I had the opportunity to interact with patients and learn from healthcare professionals. That experience strengthened my interest in biology and healthcare and reminded me of the importance of compassion alongside scientific knowledge.

As I continue my education, my goal is to keep growing academically and personally while taking advantage of opportunities to serve my community and prepare for a future career in healthcare.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is to become a pharmacist. After completing my undergraduate education in Biology, I plan to attend pharmacy school and earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. I am drawn to pharmacy because it combines my interest in biology and medicine with the opportunity to work directly with patients.

As a pharmacist, I hope to help patients better understand their medications, make informed decisions about their health, and feel comfortable asking questions about their treatment. I am especially interested in the science behind how medications work in the body and how the right treatment can improve a person's quality of life.

My experiences studying biology and volunteering in a hospital environment have strengthened my interest in healthcare. My long-term goal is to use my education and experience to become a knowledgeable and compassionate pharmacist who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients and communities I serve.

Graduate school interests

After completing my bachelor's degree in Biology, I plan to attend pharmacy school and earn a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. I am interested in further developing my knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy, and patient care. My goal is to gain the education and clinical experience necessary to become a pharmacist and use my knowledge to help patients better understand and manage their medications.

Outside the classroom

I love to go on hikes and explore nature, I also enjoy going to the gym as well as swimming at the beach.
