About
Hello, my name is Ana Brans and I am an aspiring mathematician. My goal in life is to teach those who struggle the most in, not only math, but whatever else it is that they may need help with in life. I believe that my best career option is to become a math professor and lend a helping hand to those who feel misguided in school and out of school. I spend most of my days in the library, but when I am not there I volunteer my time to Children's Miracle Network Hospital through Phi Mu. I also like to go to weekly Bible studies, and help to spread the Word of God. Although I am only a freshman at the University of Texas at San Antonio, I hope to become more involved next semester and become a young leader in the San Antonio community.

I had to maintain a GPA of at least a 3.0 throughout high school, as well as be in a sport.

I had to be a leader on and off the field, and have a certain amount of playing time.

I was captain of my soccer team for a year and led my team to the playoffs. I held practices when the coach was absent, and played as an assistant of the coach.

Goals and interests

I intend on getting my PhD and working for a university as a Math professor.

I would like to further my education in obtaining a PhD.
- Outside the classroom
With my free time, I enjoy helping others through charitable organizations, as well as helping around in the math department through tutoring and through other means. I play recreational soccer and other cardio activities to stay healthy and in shape.
