Andrea Myers

My name is Andrea Myers and I am a current pre-nursing student at Palo Alto College in San Antonio, Texas. I have been enrolled since 2015 and plan to transfer to the University of Texas Health and Science Center by the fall of 2017 to attend nursing school. I've always been dedicated to working hard in school as well as outside of school. I work one part time job as a babysitter and another at a Sonic Drive-In to provide for my education. I was raised in a small town called Pleasanton, Texas and lived their for 18 years. I was active in my community while growing up. I did many extracurricular activities such as UIL events, theater arts, culinary, band, and participated in my youth group at St. Andrews Catholic Church. Last year I moved to San Antonio with my aunt and uncle in order to help my aunt take care of my uncle, he has dementia and it's been hard on my aunt so I stepped up to assist. In my limited amount of free time, I volunteer at many different animal shelters in my area. I help out with adoption drives, walking the animals, cleaning out their cages, feeding them, and of course playing with them. Other than that, I'm either working or doing school work.
