About
A prospective physician and a life-long advocate for the medical field, I am currently studying as an undergraduate at the University of California, Los Angeles, for a degree in biological science to bring my aspirations to fruition. Altruistic, focused, and with the aptitudes of a leader, I become heavily involved with community service and extracurriculars as seen both within my finished high school career and my budding life in university. Affiliated with organizations with varying ranges of impact locally to nationally within my time as a student (such as HOSA, Key Club/Rotaract, the El Centro Regional Medical Center, TeleSquads and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund), I put passion and intensity into the time I contribute to every community I go to. Currently I am looking for opportunities optimal for my professional growth that are either correlated to a pre-medical basis, or will help me exercise work skills necessary to thrive in the near future of my career.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Intending to enter into medical school either on the West or East Coast after the completion of my undergraduate degree in biological sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally looking forward to enter into internships or potential research jobs throughout my path concentrated on molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and its correlation to physiology. Have the highest incentive to become a physician concentrated on clinical research, specializing in potential options (such as pediatrics, immunology or pathology).
- Graduate school interests
Interested in graduate schools such as Stanford University, University of California, Berkeley, University of California, San Francisco, University of Washington, Harvard University, Emory University, or Duke University. Intending to enter medical school with a specialization further on in either pediatrics, immunology, or pathology.
- Outside the classroom
Hobbies that help define and sharpen my identity, along with enriching my life with recreational but still productive life-experiences are reading literature, appreciating music live or personally, appreciating films, playing with instruments, volunteering, and physical exercise (including bike-riding, calisthenics, and weight-lifting).
Volunteering
-
El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) - Warehouse Volunteer Fulfilled orders and tasks requested from central hospital in collaboration with warehouse employees to supply main building with essential medical equipment. Received orders and organized packages and additional material in proper categories. This experience had provided me the opportunity to additionally work with similar volunteers in order to cooperate on certain goals.

El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Volunteer Formed great bonds with nurses during my experience in intensive care unit, fulfilling maintenance tasks they requested, such as organizing linens for the patient's comfort, cleaning heart monitors, or transporting patient samples to the laboratory. Working at my local hospital within this particular role provided me an opportunity to understand the etiquette of how to both complete ordained tasks and procedures in a timely fashion, and create a sense of hospitality for patients.
