For the last eight years I have been a stay-at-home mother to raise my children, and in 2016, I returned to school and enrolled into the RN to BSN Program to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from San Diego State University. I previously obtained my Bachelor's in Psychology from University of California at Berkeley in 2008. Three years later, I also obtained my California RN license, and due to familial duties, I stayed at home. Because of the long gap in my career, it is very difficult to find employment, so I decided to go back to school to earn my Bachelor's in Nursing; this way I will be a new graduate soon, and thus, eligible for the new grad RN residency programs offered by some hospitals.
Unfortunately, I am currently going through a very contentious and lengthy divorce process that has challenged me in more ways than one, including, but not only, financially. Although I am going through a very difficult period in my life, I do not want to let it define me and wallow in self-pity, and so I am doing everything in my power to move forward in life and to establish myself as a professional nurse.
I am a passionate person and a diligent student; I love life and learning, and I thrive in social setting where I connect with and help others. I want to be a positive model for my children and to contribute to society. I am looking forward to build a legacy that will shine and will emphasize the real values in life: love for others, integrity, strong work ethics, good humor, and of course, a love for learning.
My hobbies and interests are: Spanish Linguistics, Neurolinguistics, cooking, gardening, and reading.
