Angela Collins

I am a 41 year old wife, mother, church leader, daughter, sister and aunt. I have spent most of my life trying to be a great example and the truth of the matter is I want to do something for myself in this one life. I realize that life is precious and we should make it count every day. I don’t want to leave behind any regrets or sorrows, but mountains I have climbed or spoke to, or rivers I have crossed or treaded.
What made me decide to further my education were 3 years ago I was laid off. The most hurtful part was the gentleman couldn’t even give me a real reason why he was firing me, but it was the best thing he could have ever done. I was created for more than what he could see I am tired of working hard for someone that doesn’t appreciate your hard work. I am a blessing and I know who I am. So I decided to go back to school. It has been a challenge but I have endured. I will be graduating in the Spring 2016.
I am humbled and grateful at the same time. I have decided that I belong in the world of nonprofit. This will allow me to help serve others and allow my gifts to make room for me. I am no longer looking for appreciation but through serving others my life and time will be well spent.
