About

I am a Junior at Wilson Early College Academy. I plan to graduate with my Associates of Science in May of 2024. I am utilizing all 5 years of my education at the academy. I believe that going at your own pace and making the best decisions for yourself (no matter how long it may take) are the most crucial to your success. After I graduate, I would like to enroll in a 4-year university to study nursing. We have a long line of medical personnel in my family. I fell in love with their stories since the young age they started reciting them to me. You’ll often see many people shudder with disgust at some of the events that are retold, but my eyes will always shine with enthusiasm and curiosity. That is one of the factors that really pushes me. Curiosity. I want to specialize in Pediatric Nursing. There is a certain satisfaction of protecting the light of a child. Especially in times like these, children need to be children. I want to be there for the next generation and many more so that the world will not steal their sparkle.
I have worked as a babysitter since I could hold a child in my arms. Of course, I was never left alone with one until I was 11. Since then, many people from my local area have trusted me with their children. It is truly a pleasure to watch them giggle and run up to me when I arrive. They make my day with all of the crazy things they may say or do. However, I soon had to get a “real” job so I could afford any expenses that come after high school. I worked as a cashier and server at my local pizza restaurant until they were having some management issues. I then decided it was best to move on to a different business. I am now working at Chick-fil-a as a front of house team member. I have been there for a little over 5 months now and I love it. It’s so nice to be a part of a great company with great customers. Our polite service is what we’re known for.
On the side. I work a minimum of 12 hours every month with an unpaid volunteer service with Johnston County EMS. I am a cadet and have been through a year long training program to be prepared to work on an ambulance. I now enjoy every ride and every patient I encounter.
