About

I stand out among other business and marketing students because I bring a natural creativity prospective to business. I have several more years left to continue learning about the business side of marketing, but I already possess a visual art skillset. I started a photography business several years ago and I enjoy making any project look asthetically pleasing and attractive to people. It is essential for people in the marketing field to understand the production process of creating advertisements that will sell their product to the right consumer. I understand the many different mediums of visual aids so I will be able to fully comprehend the process and goal of marketing. I have also always been keen on people's thoughts and motives, which I could channel into my marketing career by reading my intended audience and marketing a product to meet their specific needs and wants.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I chose to study Marketing because I wanted to major in something that gave me room to grow and the ability to be flexible with my career path. I believe Marketing will help me achieve this because it is an ever-growing job market and my role in it would increasingly evolve and stay interesting. I also know that the Hankamer School of Business is very well respected across the nation and has great student success to back it up.
I hope to be involved with this growth in the field of marketing by continuing to develop new and innovative ways to reach my targeted audience. This excites me because I get to use my creative instincts and combine them with my growing knowledge of business to achieve a goal. I would really enjoy using my love of fashion and knowledge of marketing to market for a company, possibly in the fashion industry. I would also love to use my photography skills to gain experience on the production side of marketing.
My plan to kickstart my career is to intern at a handful of companies over the next three summers. I hope this will clarify the specific area of marketing I want to go into and teach me valuable skills I can use in my future job. My hope is that these experiences will lead me to landing a permanent job by the end of my senior year.

Outside the classroom

In my free time, I love to experiment with new photography skills, bake anything sweet, make up dances with my 8 year old sister and go on adventures with my friends. But my most favorite pastime is spending time with my family. They encourage and rejuvenate me and I love them more than anything.
