About
I am currently a Psychology major at the University of North Texas. It was the close-knit environment in which I grew up in St. Lucia that cultivated my love of helping others. I have 2 older brothers, who in addition to my parents, have been my biggest supporters. In order to acquire higher education, the decision was made that I attend school in the United States. My educational goal is to study in this field up to the doctorate level. While pursuing my studies I do not want to lose sight of just why I am doing it. I was always told I act as a voice of reasoning in a group setting, a voice of comfort to my friends, and a great mentor in the past volunteer opportunities I have taken on. I wish to continue being just that. It is also really important that I do not neglect the small things like my hobbies which include singing. I want to continue to grow to be a well-rounded individual.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am pursuing an education with the intention of becoming an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist. My major in Psychology and minor in Management puts me in a good position to pursue a career in this field.
- Graduate school interests
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I intend to further my education with my master's in Psychology.
- Outside the classroom
Growing up on an island it was not a surprise that I absolutely loved the beach. I quickly learned to swim and took a liking to the sport. In addition to swimming, I enjoy dancing and singing. I loved singing so much, I took up voice classes at the St. Lucia School of Music and exams with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Lastly, I am an avid reader. I love reading romance novels. Reading is really a form of relaxation for me, especially when I am under pressure from school.
