About
My name is Annalissa Ilene Flores Chavez. Throughout my years in high school and College I have earned distinguishable accomplishments. I am choosing to share some of my senior year achievements first. In my senior year I overcame many hardships. During this time, I can recall how I struggled to pass nine classes that I carried. My classes were very challenging, rigorous, and I realize how much they shaped my dignified character.
I graduated with honors and received my city’s top scholarship for Civic Service. A special plaque is cemented & located on the “Mayors Walk” in Hawaiian Gardens with my name on it honoring my deeds. I have also received a Regional Occupational Program scholarship along with that I was gifted a laptop. Additionally, I was recognized in the CSULB Upward Bound Newsletter as a “Stellar Student”. After 3 yrs I graduated from the CSULB Upward Bound program and I was honored with their Extracurricular Involvement Scholarship. While simultaneously graduating from Senator Tony Mendoza’s Young Legislators Program.
At Cerritos College, my freshman year, I was elected to serve as a senator on the Associated Student of Cerritos College board. While on the board I helped pass measure G to help build more buildings on campus. Sometime after I had joined the Alpha Omega Club at Cerritos College. I was deemed the Alpha Omega Club Secretary for a short time. Once I ended my secretarial term I later applied and was selected to intern for our now Senator Tony Mendoza during his Senatorial Campaign.
Most recently I earned a 3.69 GPA. While earning a recognizable Grade point average I have maintained my involvement with the Alpha Omega Club, received a “FT STUDENT SUCCESS GRANT”, and I am a member of the North Orange County Community Rotaract Club Board (NOCC) where I was selected to currently serve as the 2015-2016 Board Vice President. The NOCC provides the same type of assistance to people as the Red Cross. The philosophy of the NOCC Club is duty above self and the distinction it carries has allowed me to further my devotion and ambition to help others.
