About

My life goal is to start numerous non-profit organizations in rural communities focused on at-risk youth and provide them with access to education, mentorship, and resources that they may not have otherwise. I believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background or circumstances. By empowering these at-risk youth and giving them the tools they need to thrive, I hope to break the cycle of poverty and create a brighter future for generations to come around the world. In addition to my work in rural communities, I also have a vision to expand my efforts globally. I am passionate about reaching at-risk youth in all corners of the world, as I believe that every child, regardless of their geographic location, deserves the opportunity to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. By creating partnerships and collaborating with local organizations, I aim to establish non-profit initiatives in various countries, providing education, mentorship, and resources to those who need them most. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of countless young individuals and pave the way for a brighter future worldwide. Being a mother to my son Odin, who is nine years old, I want to show him that one person can make a huge impact on the world. As he grows up, I want to instill in him the values of compassion and empathy and the importance of helping others.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job for a B.S. in school psychology is to work as a school psychologist in an elementary or secondary school setting. I am passionate about supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students and believe that a career in school psychology will allow me to make a positive impact on their lives. Additionally, I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students. In addition to working in a school setting, a B.S. in school psychology can also open doors to careers in educational consulting or research. These roles involve using your knowledge and skills to provide guidance and contribute to the advancement of the field. Furthermore, a career in school psychology offers the chance to advocate for policies and programs that promote mental health and well-being in schools, helping to create a more holistic approach to education.

Graduate school interests

Having been admitted to the graduate program of my dreams, Pen State University, my current focus is on earning a master's degree in educational psychology. Due to its perfect alignment with my fervor for advocating for mental health and general well-being within educational environments, the field of school psychology has me deeply intrigued. I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and students to foster growth and learning through the development of inclusive and supportive environments. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about participating in research endeavors that contribute to the body of knowledge in the field and inform practices grounded in empirical evidence. My overarching objective is to obtain a teaching license as a school psychologist so that I may significantly influence the academic system and the lives of students.
